Confidential Marriage License
An Authorized Notary is considered an extension of the County Clerk's Office to issue
Confidential Marriage Licenses.
The documents required are the same as those required by the County Clerk.
However, we can help you at your convenience time and day of the week.
Requeriments:
Both parties MUST be 18 years of age or older. (Family Code 301).
Minors may NOT be issued a confidential marriage license under any circumstances (Family Code Section 500).
Both parties MUST come into the office TOGETHER to obtain the marriage license
Both parties MUST have a valid, current picture I.D. in order to obtain a marriage license. The I.D. must be government issued.
Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. You must be married on or after the issuance date, and on or before the expiration date of the license. Licenses not used within this time-frame are void.
The application can be downloaded and must be filled with exceptional accuracy. It is required to add parents information so, to prevent any doubt or error, it is encouraged although not required, to provide the birth certificate of the parties, as well as to document any change or discrepancy on the name of the parties.
